Due to the limited nature of our intelligence & awareness, doubt & uncertainty come naturally. Life produces a great deal of uncertainty, which can be attributed to a number of factors. (I.e. Recent or current experience, unawareness, etc.) Doubt in itself is not a negative thing. However, it’s potentially dangerous when it stands in the way of one’s faith in God.
Doubt limits faith, ruins opportunities, & can tarnish our relationships with others. Such was the case with Peter when he walked to Jesus on the waters. Following his salvation from the boisterous waters, Jesus questioned his faith & asked why was he doubtful? This lesson deals with overcoming doubt through the power of Jesus Christ.
